There is one fabric basket that often piles high and that’s the holiday fabric scraps. I don’t know of anyone who has got a holiday fabric stash, string and saved holiday fabric for a special project.

This Christmas nine patch quilt would be just wonderful lying around as a throw. Great to snuggle under with hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Nine patch blocks with Christmas fabric make the perfect Christmas addition, with appliqued Christmas trees to make this design extra festive.

 

This quilt can be used for many a Christmas to come. Red and green fabric scraps is all that if needed to give the quilt the Christmas theme. Mix and match red florals and green print with gold. Cream, beige solids will do for fillers between giving the quilt a light fresh look. While even a little yellow here and there work very well.

Green solid for the Christmas trees… there are six of them make the quilt playful. The quilt is so pretty that despite totally different fabric scraps used for each corner, it just works.
