Never Struggle To Find Anything Again With This Sewing Bag With A Window.
Isn’t this a dandy idea. Never fumble around in your bag to find sewing tools and notions again! What a great gift for any quilter. This little bag is so easy to make, whip up a couple on the weekend using up bright fun fabric scraps. The bag is 8″ tall. 10″ wide and 3″ deep. The size is just right, and if you have some extra stuff simply have another bag on hand.
A bag with a window can be used for anything, but especially great for sewing notions and small sewing projects. If your rotary cutter is in there, you’ll see it straight up, as well as anything else that we’re always reaching for in a hurry. Great to take on a quilting retreat when it’s a busy and there’s no time to spend looking for stuff at a moments notice.
Handy outside pocket on the other side, plus an inside pocket and a neat little needle book made with fabric cut out from the window.
Use fun fabrics and a little quilting for a quaint finish. Florals and stripes can only be fun. Fussy cut for a certain print to show as your signature bag. Follow the pattern instructions to put in the zipper. Easy if you have some basic sewing skills. And for the window a small piece of plastic vinyl.
I made a great little behind the door with Dolphin fabric that my eight year daughter chose, and the pockets were made of vinyl. (8 pockets in total) I made bias binding with the same fabric to edge the vinyl pockets. The vinyl is soft but firm, and very easy to work with, and did not put any pressure on my domestic machine at all. So feel confident to make this crafty design from Maria Harris of All Momma Quilts.
