There are also pouch style pockets with flaps at each end of the bag, and divisions and side pockets on the inside.

 

Leave the handles off and the bag becomes the perfect fabric basket to store fat quarters, fabric, and patterns. The bag could be made using large pieces of fabric scraps for the main body, and scraps for the pockets, inner and binding. The only extra you’ll need is a half yard of flexible foam interfacing, four 1″ metal rectangles to attach the handles, 3 yards Shape flex fusible or lightweight fusible interfacing and two sets of pearl snaps. The bag/ basket finished size is 14” long x 7-1/2” tall x 6-1/2” deep.
