This Sewing Room Wall Quilt Is Fun To Hang And Even More Fun To Make

A Quick And Easy Charm Pack Wall Hanging.

There are so many dynamics to steal your heart with this quilt project. Stitch up in a flash using charm squares, then sheer bliss… applique scissors, notions and anything else ‘sewing’ you can think of.

The curved piecing is effective and easy to do. Add pockets to hold sewing tools, pretty and practical. It’s so fun to do something a little different. Use Heat’n Bond Lite for the scissors and needle applique. Taping the scissors and needle template and fusible to a window with masking tape works like a light box, or else use a black marker and trace the applique shape.

Charm Pack wall quilt sewing notions theme

Jenny Doan from Missouri Quilt Company suggests laying out your charm squares, or 5 inch squares, in a light and dark arrangement. Add some lights, or darks, to your collection to get a nice balance. Use ‘Sewing Notions’ print for the backing. Quilt using Ann Bright’s pantograph “A Notion To Sew”.

Put anything you like in the top part. Make or find templates for crochet hook and yarn, or knitting needles. Use any applique for the theme. A flower garden, cute snowmen or Cardinals, this quilt is perfect for any season. It could even become the sweetest baby quilt!
