Vintage Apron For A Splendid Notions Pouch

Choose The Prettiest Fabric For These Vintage Aprons.

Lavender sachets and vintage aprons, natures bounty and true love… A cotton summer dress with a reel and thread puts an extra special feel on this notions pouch. Stitch up a roomy pouch to keep small sewing projects at hand, with an inside pocket to hold notions and scissors. A lovely gift any quilter or sewing enthusiast would love.

The pouch can be made using a 6 1/2″  block with dress and cotton reel, or piece an apron, fussy cutting a motif and using it as a focus point of the project. The ‘kitchen’ print is so sweet in the waistband.

Position a print in a desired direction like the apple print of this pretty apron. The apples are running vertical and are centered on the front panel. The paper pieced apron block can be used as the front of the notions pouch. It’s wonderfully creative and very easy to do. See more about paper piecing here.
