Vintage Picnic Table Topper In Time For Tea

Teapot and Teacups A Tea Time Quilt Treat.

Quilters are always creating something fresh and new for the home, as well as gifts for family and friends. Sometimes you just want something that sews up quick just for the love of it, and to also have something new for practical use. This quaint teapot and teacups table topper is so quick and easy, if you start on Saturday, it’ll be finished in time for tea on Sunday!

Teapots and teacups create a delicious country kitchen atmosphere, the topper requires 7 fat quarters plus a little yardage, or stitch up the super easy patchwork squares from scraps in florals, plaids and polka dots. Choosing a base color for the inner border and binding is a good start for the theme color, then match up the squares from scraps. Teapot and cup are quick and easy with fusible applique, the delightful teacup blocks are 4 1/2″ x 6″, and the teapot block is 7 1/2″ x 10 1/2″.

Blue captures a true old fashioned country feel, and most florals have some shade of blue making it an easy color coordinate with a wide range of flowery scraps. I love how the teapots pop in florals and polka dots!
