Make Your Own Retro Style Tea Cozy.
If you love vintage themed projects, this adorable retro style tea cozy is so easy to stitch up using old fashioned prints, or any fabric of your choice. Use vintage fabric prints from the fifties. Those were the days when you used ‘Printed Waffle Pique’, ‘Crinkle Crisp’ and Cotton Classics budget priced! Today they’re so stylish.
Put your 1950’s fashion colors and fabrics on display when having a quaint tea party, or use it for decor in your kitchen or dining area. The cozy is sure to get everyone’s attention. Fat quarter friendly, make the teapot cover using a fabric of your choice. You can make it using just 2 fabrics 1/4 yard each, with batting inside to keep your tea piping hot, ready to serve family and friends. With cookies you’ve baked yourself no doubt.
The cozy is great for holiday parties and any fabric can be used for the season or theme. The cozy is delightful in Christmas prints. Use country florals and gingham, 1930’s prints, or Wonderland Cameo’s Rose. Add ric rac, and use ribbon for the ribbon tie. Embellish with buttons and charms.
Fits snug around the teapot, and there are instructions for smaller and larger teapots included.
