The finished size can be used just the same for a mini quilt. While the fabric chosen is a Fall theme, make it in colors of your choice, to suit a season or theme. You’ll be stitching up just 20 x 2 inch half square triangles for the leaves, a jelly roll or strips are also suitable.

Mini charms become an artists palette, the tutorial explains how to lay your charms out and choose which ones you’ll be using for the tree leaves, and which for the border. Jo Daley, the designer chose a Fall theme, a new collection just out, mini charms available from here.

To finish, Jo overlaps the backing panel to include the binding which is always a nice finish and easy to. I find it which helps towards completing the project a little quicker, and it’s ready for display. At a versatile 18½” square, it’s the right size for a mini quilt!
