I have fallen in love with this baby quilt made with Riley Blake’s ‘Go Fly A Kite’. For a girl baby quilt you could get a beautiful quilt using something like ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’. Who wouldn’t have a happy smiling baby wrapped in this delightful baby quilt!

 

 

This unique quilt pattern uses several different size Dresden plates against a plain white background.It’s great for showcasing colorful kids fabrics, both in the fussy-cut centers, and the rainbow petals of the plates. Creative free-motion quilting gives a white background texture and interest.

Dresdens are so appealing and offer a wide choice of color combinations. Melissa, the designer had the idea to not have too many on display, and scattered just three in different sizes across the fresh white quilt.

Fussy cut your favorite piece for the center and sew into the dresden plate using needle turn applique. A large border displays the playful fabric.
