Christmas Stockings In A Day Or Two
Pieced Christmas Stockings Can Be Made Merry and Bright With Scraps.
Christmas won’t be complete without the stockings hung and ready to be filled. It’s perfect timing to make these Merry Christmas stockings, since they’re so quick and easy, you can start and finish them in a day or two. One project ticked off the list, leaving you free to continue with the remaining holiday plans.
Choose your favorite fat quarter and stitch up a simple stocking. Or piece your stockings using a mix of any bright fabric scraps to make up these jolly Christmas stockings. There are four designs to choose from.
Mix the designs or make a matching set. For the pinwheels find scraps no less than 3 1/2 inches. You’ll need 20. The hexie stocking could use a couple of holiday prints in the mix, perhaps an ornament print here and there. Hexagons will need scraps of 4″ squared. Pieced stockings can easily be made to fit in with your holiday decor by simply adding an accent color. It’s so exciting to make your own. Using a fat quarter in patchwork print is a quick way to add another stocking.
This ‘Merry’ stockings pattern designed by Camille Roskelley is available for purchase. Each family member will identify with their very own stocking by the design you choose for them and will be treasured as their own year after year.
