Diamond Chain Quilt For A New Adventure
A No Pattern Design That Turned Out Great.
A stunning throw quilt created out of triangles and pastel fabric prints, this is the freshest ‘modern’ design for a quilt with no pattern. It worked out just great! And what a fun tutorial!
Those fabrics are so beautiful together with the contrasting binding. You might already have some fabric picked out to make this quick and easy quilt. It’s made using only one template that you can be easily make yourself. Draw a triangle with a base of 4″ and a height of 4″, especially easy when drawn on graph paper. The top is made up with 8 triangles per row, with additional borders. The completed block resembles a pyramid, and when stitched together makes up a bordered diamond. Use this basic idea for all sorts of projects. The bold blocks could use any print, for any season, To make the quilt longer or wider, simply add more blocks.
Any fabric would match this design. A print with critters, would make a darling baby quilt, boy or girl. Medium and large print florals for a throw in summer. Huge blocks are less fussy and stitch up really quick leaving room for all the fun and creativity of the fabric. Jessica from Twin Fibres even surprised herself at the result!
