A fast and fun table runner with contrasting blocks and a stylish Christmas wishes inner border in burlap script make for a traditional Christmas quilt. The Christmas countdown is on.

 

 

The table runner is made using Moda’s Winterlude collection. If unavailable, use muted greens with pine twigs and parchment backgrounds from Holly Taylors fabric line or similar, to make up this classic runner. The blocks are made up with 1 1/2 inch strips, great to use scraps from previous holiday projects. There’s no need for a myriad of coordinates. Three colors, red, green and a tonal parchment (cream or beige) are used for the blocks alternating colors between the blocks and center squares.
