If you cannot find a Free Style Fastener, a long nylon coil zipper will do where you are able to separate the zipper into two tapes with one pull. Just cut off the zipper stop at the both ends and slide the zipper pull out providing a one sided zipper for your half square triangle pouch.
If using a regular nylon style zipper, add a free style fastener ring for an easier grip. (Available Here) The ring makes it easy to clip onto a larger bag, or sewing basket. Very handy to keep sewing clips and other accessories for easy reach and quick access.
Dig into your scraps to find pieces large enough to cut a couple of triangle pieces. Use two different prints to make up an interesting pouch as the fabric will show up on each side. You’ll be needing a 12″ square for the lining and 11″ square for a piece of low loft batting. Make heaps of these handy pouches for gifts, sewing accessories and all sort of things.
