Reach For Your Panel Fabric As Christmas Draws Nigh

Panel Fabric For Last Minute Quilt Projects.

Christmas is in the air bringing a rush of excitement. It’s such a fun time to be making quilt projects for the season. Festivities are on the calender leaving smaller pockets of time to make some Christmassy things you promised yourself. Fabric panels are not only effective but great time savers. Use left over fabric holiday, or related colors, for the border, and panels for the center or feature piece.

Cut out the panels amd place them in a wall quilt. Each piece is so versatile, they can be use for inner borders, top and bottom frames. And like this “Moose on the Loose” panel, the sections can be cut up and positioned to tell a Christmas story!

The Santa fabric panel that can be used for this pattern, has a quaint face, and fat quarter holiday fabric has been used randomly to make up the border. Almost any holoday fabric, or scraps of red and green solids and print can be used for that part. Or else the pattern calls for 8 fat quarters for the border. Makes a super fun Santa 34 1/4″ x 54 1/4″ wall quilt, providing colorful backdrop at the mantle.

Panel fabric even provides a no sew. Cut out the moose and fuse the fabric in place. Then a little sewing to finish and you have a fun wall quilt to go up right away.
