Stylish Fabric Bin To Coordinate With Your Sewing Room Decor
A Row Of These Fabric Bins Will Be Gorgeous
Strips of fabric make up this sturdy bin. It’s the right size for storing fat quarters and folded fabric, sewing notions and accessories, and you can make your own clutter-busting fabric container, color-coordinated with your decor!
Made mostly with lengths of fabric strips cut from 44″ width of fabric, it works out quite inexpensive to make. If you have a pile of 1 1/2″ strips, required for the project, put them together to create a colorful ‘co-ord’, mixing small and medium prints, with the addition of one large scale fabric. Northcott’s new Soho fabric line in pink and grey was used for the feature basket, a great start to a powder fresh sewing room in white and soft grey.
Heavy weight fusible interfacing and batting bolster the rectangular shape. The basket is sewn into a ‘tube’ which fits comfortably over the sewing arm for quilting! Straight line quilting is quick and easy, however the small scale strips provide an opportunity for a little free motion quilting.
For the lining, match just one of the strips used for the basket to anchor the project. Or find a solid to pick up on an accent color chosen for your decor.
