Simply Charming Christmas Topper

Put Christmas Fabric Scraps On Display
Festive and bright, this table topper is perfect for scrap busting, and super fun finding a delicious print for the center square. For holiday decor, why not follow the patterns fabric guide and use Snowflake print fabric for the sashing and border, and finish with delicious red plaid fabric for the binding. Versatile for scraps or favorites in any fabric for any season. You could add a hanger to the back for an easy wall quilt.
A scrappy patchwork Christmas table topper is so fun to sew. Snowflakes and a jaunty snowman makes a delightful display on your table. Find a cute fabric to fussy cut for the 5 inch center square, quick to piece with 2 1/2 inch squares, all cut from scraps.

Use colors that complement each other. Scrappy doesn’t mean matching, but to get started you could pick colors from the fussy cut center and build from there. Use a contrasting fabric for sashing and borders. This allows for the eye to see them without everything running together.

Why not choose a cute bunny and frame with green strips and floral fabric for a garden scene. Continue on with mixing dots, checks, florals and other small patterns that go together. If it’s scrappy there’s no need to worry about using matching fabrics from one line, and if they’re scraps, this is a great time to use them all up.

The pattern, designed by Simply Eileen, makes a finished topper of 22” x 22”. The pattern which includes colorized images and instructions, is available for purchase.
