Snowballs incorporated into this 18 inch block provides a spectacular display of a feature floral fabric. Sort through stash or scraps to find coordinating fabric for the X blocks to accent every colour in the pallette!
An amazingly easy block to construct. Five Snowballs are 6 inches providing an array of botanicals for the project. Assemble together with four X blocks to make a total display of an 18 inch nine patch. A single quilt block makes a floral throw pillow, or assemble more for a striking quilt.
I chose an analogouscolor scheme that coordinateswith the main print so theblock appears to have crossstitches with variegated yarn.It can be simplified to one ortwo colors
Crytal used Moda’s Botanica fabric for the quilt block. Use large floral as the feature fabric, or favorite scraps set aside for the right project.
