A quilted hot pad for a casserole sized dish is the perfect piece to add to your kitchen. Sew a couple in time for up coming festive dinners and family gatherings. Christmas themed hot pads are delightful, or make them in any fabric for all year round.

The pattern requires just 1 1/2″ strips of fabric found in any scrap basket, plus a 3 inch centre square which could be focus fabric. The finished size in the pattern is perfect for a 9″x13″ dish. Or measure your casserole dish and size up or down, using a larger piece of batting.

To protect countertops and tables, sandwich the hot pads with a layer of Insul-brite insulated lining.
