Circle Of Friends Quilt Block Is Great For Getting Together
Use This Sewcial Bee Sampler Block In Any Project.
Circle of Friends is a beautiful block that looks way more complicated than it really is. It’s made using 8-at-a-time Half-Square Triangle (HST) units, with the addition of (4) 2-1/2″ squares for the center of each “friend”.
These blocks are perfect for any season. You can choose prints specifically for the fussy cut squares. For Spring or Summer, these pretty pressed flowers fill 2 1/2″ squares, framed by hst’s. Each quarter of this block is made exactly the same and a fun overall pattern is created once the four quarters are sewn together.
While Maureen Cracknel of Maureen Cracknel Handmade used fabrics with a strong contrast to make the center square pop, any fabric combination can be used in dark and light soft tones for a subtle classic feel.
The Circle Of Friends quilt block is just one of 25 samplers in community sampler sew along, put together by Sharon Holland of Sharon Holland Designs. You can scroll through and choose favorites.
