In From The Cold by Kate Spain sparked enthusiasm across the quilting board and these delightful hot chocolate cup blocks were released into delicious patterns for everyone to enjoy. The patterns include place mats, a table runner, a gift bag and even a fun wall quilt.

 

Kate Spain’s In From Cold sparked Tammy’s creativity. While working at Moda fabric, Tammy was given the dream job of making a quilt to test the free quilt pattern to be released with the fabric line. So inspired she came up with another idea to make the cups half the size. They were so cute, Tammy released her free mini moda project patterns consisting of a table runner, place mats and a gift bag!

Projects can be made from fat quarters and extra fabric for the background, binding, and backings. Use any combination of 5 blocks from the block instructions to make the table runner. All the cups are different. Choose your favorite mini cup blocks for the placemats, … and for the gift bag, the cup block that steals your heart. In From The Cold Place Mats 

These cosy projects have captured everyone’s hearts. This delightful wall quilt made by Nettie from Inspiring Creations, a project she shared with her mom, made using In From The Cold fabrics, and adding fun ribbon embellishments to some of the cups.

 

Greg from Grey Dogwood Studio completed the quilt top. The swirly steam is pieced and included in the pattern instructions!
