A Cheery Mini Charm Pillow

This patchwork pillow made with mini charms will be lovely in any colors or prints. A wonderful use of charm squares, cut into mini charms showcase the prettiest prints. If you love birds, Moda’s Jingle Birds are just perfect for a Christmas themed pillow, or use any favorite bird print.

 

A super easy project to make and one that can stitched up for any season. Choose a solid in between to tie in print scraps. You might have a larger piece just right for 1/3 of the pillow front, an area large enough to show your best piece. Red gingham binding is especially nice for Christmas.

 

Use any choice of  2 1/2 inch squares for any time of year, that will match the room decor. To accent the pretty patchwork squares, Taunja added a few vertical lines of machine quilting.

Use a Christmas theme fabric such as Jingle Birds, embellish with vintage lace and white fluffy pom-pom trim.

The finished pillow, designed by Taunja from Carried Away Quilting, is 10″ x 16″. By using just one row less of mini charms, Taunja accommodated to the 10″ x 16″ pillow form on hand.
