Everything is a splash of color fun for the new season. Stitch up these fruity mug rugs, they’ll look great on the table when serving up cool juicy drinks for friends and family! These mug rug have everything to remind you of lush tropical fruit, just right for blue skies and sunshine.

 

 

Use freezer paper, or to save using fabric glue, use Heat’n Bond. Green leaves are made and appliqued after. To get started cut out fruit from templates, fruit is appliqued, however there’s a little extra fun going on for this project.

French knots are super cute embroidered on the strawberry, while for the pineapple, a little hand quilting. The watermelon looks good enough to eat. We love the dimension created with the fruit ‘falling’ off the mug rug!
