A great project to use up scraps and there might be enough strings of at least 1.5 inches wide. For the stars, dive into the scrap bag and find 40 pieces that are at least 21 inches long. Fat quarter friendly, and if making for Christmas, reds and greens in any print work well. Mix up the values light and dark and once sewn into strips and cut into triangles, the colors are delightful.

The scrappy star is easily adaptable for holiday-themed decorations, and with the right fabric would look perfectly at home any time of the year. While reds and greens are generally favorited for holiday projects, The Project Girl has chosen bold colors with a dark background and the stars really pop. The star can be made with many variations depending on your color and fabric choice, ready for your personal touch.
