Go one step further with your baby quilt pattern and make it a tie on. Not only is this adorable baby quilt bright and happy, it’s practical too. Knowing how energetic baby’s constantly kick of there blankets, Jennie came up with the idea of adding some ties. So. it’s not quite a lap or baby quilt, it’s a car seat baby quilt.

Untie the car seat quilt and it becomes a handy playmat.

In this pattern Jennie used a Moda charm pack called Sophie, hence the name Sophies Car Seat Quilt. The fabrics are pretty pinks and florals, the quilt border in aqua blue. So fresh and pretty. She’s used Bella Solids Snow for the sashing. White sashing just brings out the fresh florals and forms a nice grid.

The fabrics needed are

1 Charm Pack
1 yard large print for backing and binding
1/4 yard small print for borders
1/2 yard Bella Solids Snow for sashing
1 yard cotton flannel or batting
