Peckish Barnyard Bird Chicken Topper

A Delight For Kitchen Breakfast Table Decor
A beautiful blue hen and rooster are appliqued on a center square and framed with a border of flying geese blocks. The blues are lovely, but these barnyard birds would be wonderful in any color combination. Make them scrappy, or go with a single dominant color.
You’ll start by preparing the center block, tracing and cutting the hen and rooster shapes, attaching them with fusible web, or preferred method, and stitching around the applique edges. Every stitch brings these delightful chickens to life.

Once the center applique is in place, you move on to the pieced flying-geese border. Choose a theme for the mini quilt and co-ordinate colors for geese units, trim, press, and join into the surrounding frame.

Swirly quilting sets the scene. Hang it on the wall or centre it on a table, the finished Peckish topper is full of charm, cozy, country chicken decor.
Designed by KLee2Strings, Klee suggests keep this mini-quilt for yourself or make it for a friend, or both.
