Easy Merry Go Round Placemats To Make For Table Flair.

These Merry Go Round placemats have more than one benefit. The main one being is that the placemats are perfect for a round table. The Merry Go Round pattern includes a round table topper for the middle. Push the placemats together and the whole set becomes a large table topper. When the table is cleared, leave the pretty center piece as table topper decor. Or re-position the placemats to create a curvy table runner. Make added centre pieces for an extra hot dish and use Insul brite. Make two extra trivets from another pattern included in this article. There are a number of ways to make these placemats with a different design each time. An added benefit is that they’re reversible.

1. This design by Bejeweled Quilts, is for placemats for a round table with a topper for the middle. You can do reversible for when you want something different. The pattern includes instructions on how to make the setting bigger if need be.

Make a setting for four or as many as you need. Make an extra set to use while one set is in the wash. Round table topper is 16 inches in diameter, place mats are 10 inches across the top 25 inches across the bottom and 11 1/2 inches long.

The fabric requirement for the setting is only one and 1/4 yard of main fabric, backing fabric, and batting. You will also need tissue paper or larger paper, a ruler and pencil. You might want to use Insul-Bright and cotton batting in the center circle if you want to make it heat resistant.

Using the same pattern choose fabric for any time of the year. This style will show off the prettiest of medium to large prints. Perfect for something new and fresh for the holiday table.
