A New Bunny Wall Quilt Is Long Overdue
This Delightful Bunny Bricks Wall Quilt Is Perfect For Easter.
Quilts together with cute little animals like bunnies, or cats, as well as scottie dogs, just go together. If you love cats, dogs, elephants or any other munchkins for your quilt projects, you will lose your heart over this bunny quilt. Colorful bunnies in vintage print, paired with rectangle bricks. They’re on the hop for Easter.
Amanda, aka Jedi Craft Girl uses a Sizzix cutter and the cutest bunny die, cutting out two bunnies at a time. To capture a similar feel, make three rows of fabric ‘bricks’ using a vintage themed floral, and then a row of white solid. Cut out the bunnies using the Sizzix bunny die using the same fabric as the bricks.
The silhouette bunnies in a mix of vintage prints are just adorable on the white background. Swirly meandering is perfect for the theme. It’s a lovely time to go crazy with bunny quilt projects.
For the feature quilt Amanda used Anne Griffins fabric collection “Grace”, a mix of vintagey spring florals.
As for those adorable bunnies, I’ve searched everywhere and this exact bunny can only be cut using the Sizzix Bigz bunny die. Available here. If you don’t already have a Sizzix Die cutter, after searching die cutters I have found the Sizzix Big Shot cutter to be almost half the price of brands with similar quality. I was amazed! The dies are also almost half the price as others I’ve seen. Amanda cut two bunnies after the fabric had been fused. The Sizzix big shot that Amanda uses is Available Here.
Use a cat die, or dog die, to make this same quilt or whatever animal you would like instead of the bunny. Butterflies in place of the bunnies would look lovely and especially with vintage prints.
