Fold’n Stitch Tree To Make In An Afternoon

Make A Fold’n’Stitch Into A Christmas Tree.

Amongst the baubles, stars and colorful Christmas ornaments on display, this sweet fold’n’stitch, looks great hanging on the tree or in the window. They can be grouped to sit on your mantel or make a center piece for the buffet. The No Sew pattern is for 3 different sizes and makes a great craft for for an afternoon, or week-end project!

Using the fold’n ‘stitch Accents technique creates a dimensional ornament that can be made in three different sizes: 5” high small tree, 6” high medium tree, or a 7-1/2” high large tree. The smallest tree looks really cute tied on to a gift. Make up your own display for the entrance, by standing all three sizes together with the addition of a couple of pine cones. They’re lovely gifts to take a long with a box of chocolates.

Use one fat quarter plus a little yardage for the 7 1/2″ tree, and a fat eighth for the smaller ones. The trees are hand sewn and you will need something to use as a turning tool to push out the corners. The final touch is to decorate the trees with red beads for miniature baubles, tiny gold bells, or use embellishments of your choice. Use Perle cotton to hang the ornament, and for a standing display you can also add a star.
