TishnWonderland designed the block for the 2015 Fabri-Quilt New Block Blog Hop. A playful design leaving a lot of room for fabric creativity. 4 1/2 inch half square triangles make up most the block. White for the background provides defined lines for this fun Salt Water Taffy!

Kat and Louise of Kat and Cat Quilts sized up the Watermellon block to a bold 72″ rendering a clean crisp quilt with just one block. The block was inspired by the Watermelon Summer fabric pallet, however Kat and Louise created a summer quilt in Navy, sky blue and sand. The white background is crisp and cool.

Size up a 12 inch block multiplying by 6 providing large pieces to display a favorite fabric. The 72 inch design looks great.  No need for a border, although optional.
