Jelly Roll Scrappy Granny Square Can’t Get Easier
Jelly Roll Friendly Makes This Granny Square A Breeze
This block is pretty simple to make and a great way to use up a jelly roll, and if a Granny Square has been on your list for a while go ahead and make this pretty quilt. Emily from Quilty Love used Bonnie and Camille’s Daysail for this project. The colors and texture are just perfect. The block is so light and appealing, and the prints really blossom against the white background.
White sashing is absorbed into the white background but without loosing the texture.
There are 30 blocks in total. Each block contains:
12 2.5″ white squares
13 assorted 2.5″ squares [ 1 center, 4 middle color, 8 outer color ]
The tuorial is so easy to follow. Bright prints make up the blocs and are so inspiring. Prints from the jelly roll just work together so beautifully making the project easy. Simply follow the design and use multiple fabrics in each block. Tones are correct and the result is suberb with an overall appeal.
No limit on the choice of backing fabric. Emily splashed out in a vibrant red floral. Just gorgeous! Cool with soft grey binding.
The finished quilt is 61″ x 68″
