Store Scraps In Coordinating Colors

These handy baskets will make all the difference in storing color coordinated scraps. To make the baskets, the idea is to sort scraps into like colors that will store the same colors of scraps! You could store fat quarters, charm packs and 5″ squares in this way too! The baskets create a fun display in the sewing room, and the scraps look so interesting piled up inside, it’s an inspiration to start sewing!

If you’re looking for a color to add to your project, the color of the basket is a good indicator for an easier find. They’re perfect to store on a bookshelf, with colorful baskets in a row, across and down, containing beautifully color coordinated scraps. If there’s sufficient space, you could add a row of like colors in precuts.

To get started, sort scraps that will render 2 1/2″ squares in varying prints. Each basket needs 63 squares in similar colors, however the baskets could be made made larger, by increasing the number of squares.
