A super easy technique to use other than applique is to sew the strips together, then place the stripey eggs behind the background fabric using a freezer paper template. Stitch into place. Meander the background to ‘nestle’ the eggs.

Why not use a single block with one egg to make a couple of mug rugs and add a coffee mug with a bunny for a gift. A runner with a candy dish of treats would look lovely on your table and also make a special Easter gift.
