Tree Potholders Perfect For Your Christmas Kitchen
Creative Christmas Tree Potholders Captures The Holiday Spirit.
Here’s a unique potholder just perfect for the Christmas season. You’ll be starting to prepare for the festivities, and no doubt spending sometime in the kitchen planning Christmas favorites. Create the mood with these quaint Christmas tree shapped potholders. So quick and easy to make, and perfect for holiday fabric scraps left over from last year.
Use then right from the beginning of the season for a bright holiday mood in the kitchen and on your table. With friends and family visiting throughout the holidays, these tree potholders will add that touch of red, green and gold to the decor. Each potholder is a finished size of around 9″ x 9″. The broad binding compliments the shape of the tree. I would even use them as mug rugs!
The tree template is provided with the pattern. All you’ll need for the template is a piece of 11″ x 17″ paper in half to 11″ x 8 1/2″. The intructions in the pattern are very easy to follow. You could make a set of at least three tree potholders in an afternoon!
There’s a fold line on the tree templates providing the pocke down the center of the tree to slip your hand in. Fold two remaining fabric trees in half lengthwise (along template fold line), right sides out. Layer one on the right side and one on the left side of the back of the quilted tree sandwich. This creates pockets for your fingers. So easy.
Designed by Two Aunties patterns, using Hoffman fabrics. The pattern is from way back in 2011, and the exact fabrics might not be available. However almost any holiday fabric, along with a mix of red and green prints can be used to complete a set of these potholders. What a lovely addition to a food lovers gift!
