Use Up Colorful Scraps For A Striking Scrappy Quilt

The Bright Colors Make A Beautiful Quilt To Put On Display.

This quilt can be made from scraps and there is no right number of fabrics to use. Super easy for a beginner quilter to just have fun with fabric, and great to put scraps to good use. With no two the same, the untamed mix of colors and prints render a wildly creative quilt.

Use unlimited amounts of colorful strips and squares of fabric. Be bold and put some of your stash towards this one. Any combo of fabrics look great, and especially with the addition of a pop color such as yellow. The spark of colors are held together with black for the sashing, and becomes a striking work of art made up from random strips of fabrics plus any scraps that will render 1 1/2″ widths.

Sticks and Stones fabric scrap quilt pattern

Choose colors from what you have and/or buy yardage to match decor. The black sashing is 2 1/2″ wide strips, and the corner stones just 2 1/2″ squares. Super fast strip piecing, and a very economical quilt to make with almost no fabric wastage.

The finished quilt is 59 1/2″ x 73 1/2″. Easily alter the size by adjusting the number of 12″ blocks.
