Make This Tablet Holder – Perfect For Quilters

This Tablet holder has got to be one of the best projects for quilters since nowadays you use so many patterns and tutorials as your patterns. Tablets are a great size to have on your sewing table, and what would compliment a quilter more than a quilted tablet holder. Even more so, one you’ve made for yourself. Of course, the perfect quilty gift too.

It’s such an easy pattern, you couldn’t possible mess up. With each tablet holder being unique dependent on the fabrics and colors chosen. What fun to make the flower too.

This tablet stand bean bag is functional as well as decorative. It becomes quite a feature piece in  a room.

To prepare you these are the fabrics you’ll need.

1/2 yard of fabric
fabric scraps for the flower
self covered button
polyfill
a stone or weight
cardboard

You’ll find the template download further down for the cardboard base. Every bit helps to make it easy and get it right first time. The top should be 3 3/4 in wide  and the bottom part 7 3/4 in. The height is 5 3/4 in. If your printer gives you a different size you can adjust it easily before you cut the pattern.

Look how easy it is to make the flower.
Cut 1 long rectangle 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 3 4 inch squares.Fold the squares in half twice and iron each time.Cut around the raw edge corner of each folded square as per picture.

Gather the pieces of fabric using a rather long stitch so that the bulk of the gathering is reduced and the hole in the middle is smaller than the the button that will cover it.

Attach button to the center.

This video shows how to make the tablet stand from denim. You can just use the fabric of your choice and then put the flower on.
