This delightful Holiday quilt offers dreams and schemes with fabric. Super fun to sew, this ‘Wrench’ quilt is a terrific block for the beginning quilter. It’s made of just half square triangles and strip sets!

 

 

Half square triangles are quick to piece choosing fabrics for each Churndash to create a tumble of blocks. Then choose fun combinations for your patches! A clever play with fabric creates the ‘jingle’ at the center of your Churndash.

Once you have chosen your fabrics and combinations, the blocks are simple to construct. However the blocks are repetitive but each one a delightful surprise as the fabric forms the design. A Churndash pattern is seen most commonly with two, highly contrasting fabrics, however this design is a little unique and really fun to put together.

Designed by Sweetwater, the quilt is a finished size of 59″ x 59″. The feature quilt was made using Sweetwater’s fabric line ‘Overnight Delivery’. Choose your own fabrics which needn’t be Holiday themed at all. It’s a pretty quilt that can be made in any fabric, summer or winter themed, embroider a message or not.
