Jelly Roll Windsor Tote
With Woven Jelly Roll Strips
A delightful tote to sew. The perfect size for carrying small projects, farmer’s market finds, and more. It’s also a great done-in-a-day pattern, and can be changed up, or easily made larger.
Its as easy as cutting jelly roll strips in half and start weaving. Patterns emerge with fabric play, creative and fun to do and undo till you love the look. To begin with strips are adhered to fusible fleece so there’s no piecing. Panels are quilted to secure the diamonds.
The pattern offers two choices to create your Windsor tote. Sew in the lining and box the corners. The second option is to use stiff interfacing and an exterior bottom panel which will be hidden underneath the lining. The hack adds structure and more room to the bag.
The pattern designed and constructed by Anna Dineen, is available as a free download. There is also a video packed with The Windsor Tote hacks. Fun to make, the tote comes together quickly and can be finished by the end of the day, ready to use for a trip to Farmers Market.
