A Honeybun Table Topper To Use Over And Over
Change Fabric And Make One For Every Season
A super easy table topper designed to put a focal fabric in full display. Decorate your table to celebrate the season, the center piece is the right size for whatever you want to show off. Use a solid for the center and go scrappy with surrounding strips, or choose a print for the center and match up accent strips to make the seasonal print pop.
The design is Honeybun friendly, or you’ll need a few Width of Fabric strips, or cut strips of fat quarters. Select a pretty focal fabric and coordinating 1 1/2” strips and you can whip together a 21” octagon shaped table mat in no time. Choose a favorite, or match decor, and start selecting strips.
Make a couple of these toppers using widths that you might have thought you’ll never use. Fill up a basket of 1 1/5″ in scraps, finding florals, prints and solids to put together, with each combination adding a little more interest. Feature a beautiful floral print and surround it with prints that provide just a hint of co- ordinating fabrics making up the strips.
Use gingham binding for your kitchen table, display a small vase of country flowers just picked from the garden. Taunja Kelvington, Carried Away Quilting, used Fig Tree’s Strawberry Fields Revisited collection.
Stitch up a mat for Halloween, or quick change of decor using Fall prints.
Use just one or 2 pieces of Hearts fabric for a Valentine theme, or just because.
Patriotic blues and reds… or Holiday fabric!
