Zig Zag Charm Pack Table Runner Use This Clever Layout Technique

All You Need Is A Pack Of Charm Squares.

This zigzag table runner is so edgy and it’s made by simply stitching together charm squares. Make it as long or short as want. Easily adjust the size using this sneaky layout technique. The rest is pure fun.

Use left over charms squares, or cut fabric to 5″ squares. However a charm pack of 42 charms is usually coordinated by groups of color. To get the layout near as perfect, separate and stack the sections of colors grouped in your charm pack. Then place a row of two charms from the first pile, then a row of four starting with a charm taken from the second stack. Then lay out a row of five and so on.

The colors and prints work out great. Continue to add rows of five until you reach the length of runner of your choice. The same fabric layout can be used if you cut 5″ squares from left over fabric. Choose your fabrics, cut the squares grouping and stacking them much like you would if using a charm pack. You can just eyeball colors and group them together as you think. Use holiday prints, or Autumn shades. The runner is perfect for any decor and all seasons.

Continue with rows and once you love the layout, you’re ready to sew!
