A Super Easy 3 Fabric Quilt Block
Design Your Own Quilt With This Gorgeous Block
You’ll love the intricacy (and ease of sewing) when you make the All Hallows quilt block. Depending on how you lay out the completed blocks, you might see secondary patterns emerging when you place the blocks side by side or separate them with sashing.
Choose from 4 sizes of this gorgeous block. You can use the All Hallows quilt block pattern to make block 4 sizes: 9″, 12″,15″ or 24″square. Combine colors in different ways and use as many additional fabrics as you like, however the design is striking and defined with just 3 contrasting fabrics.
The quilt block features lots of half square triangles and flying geese units.
The center is based on a pinwheel! Wendy Russell of The Patchwork Square decided on a Halloween theme. It’s one of those versatile blocks that can be made in almost any fabric combination, and for any season.
Wendy has adapted her design and provided a free pattern for 9″, 12″ and 15″ finished blocks. Included in her free pattern, are two suggested layouts.
You can find a free pattern tutorial for 12″ and 24″ finished block from Janet Wickell of The Spruce Crafts. Janets pattern provides quilt block cutting instructions for a 3 color block.
