There are quilts, an there are quilts to fall in love with. This hexie is one of them for sure. These giant hexies really show off the beauty of the Amy Butler fabrics. The hexies are quite puffed making this Sexy Hexy quilt look even more luxurious. Hexagon quilt are quite easy to master and most fall in love with any hexie projects.
This Hexie is so beautiful though, the tones of the fabric make you feel like you’re on the beach looking at the most beautiful sunset. The fabric used is Amy Butlers collection called “Love”. Very fitting!
With large hexagons like these the quilt would build quite quickly. The finished block size is a whopping 27 3/4″ x 24″. The shape of the hexagons create it’s own border and binding to finish is all that is needed.
The finished size of the quilt pattern is 70″ x 74″. This quilt had anothe horizontal row added which is all that needs to be done to adjust the size of the quilt.
Everyone seems to be falling in love with Hexagons all over again, and with this pattern from way back in 2010, this gorgous quilt is sure to get some rave reviews! To add that the Amy Butler “Love” fabric collection is still available.
