The cream black fabric for the inner border is a distinctive weave known as ticking stripe. The ticking and the red/black check are the secret to this scrappy quilts old fashioned country home charm. A fantastic mix of blues and greens with red and gold… a clasic mix. Play with fabrics for a myriad of combinations.
There are 42 nine patch blocks in total. The finished size is 56 3/4″ x 63 5/8″. The design is very easy to enlarge aswell, by simply adding more blocks.
