A Pretty Heart In ‘Poetry’ Pillow To Make And Display For Valentines.

A sweet patchwork pillow to celebrate the month of love. Easy and fast to sew, these heart decorative pillows will brighten up any room for Valentines.

 

This pillow is the perfect scrap buster using just 3 1/2″ squares for the heart and front panel. The pillow will pretty up bedroom decor and even the sewing room. A zippered back and flap makes it easy to change covers.

Find soft pinks and florals, with a mix of aqua prints. Red florals and red and white small dots feature the heart.The pillow front is made up of 3 1/2″ squares, or use a pack of Moda’s ‘Poetry’ Treats. Choose the red prints from the collection and combine with white to make up half square triangles to form the 6″ heart.

Position the heart block on a design wall or on your table, and lay the remainder of the ‘Treats’ squares in a 6 x 6 grid. Move the prints around until you love the layout. The pillow top comes together quickly, ready to be trimmed to 18 1/2 inch square. The versatile front panel can be used for a table topper or mat. Change the shape by reducing squares along the top or sides. Switch out the heart block for a simple sawtooth star block, which you could easily do with any 6″ finished block.
