Quilt An Array Of Autumn Leaves

Display Every Shade of Autumn
Choosing fabrics in rich fall tones of rusts, golds, deep greens, and muted neutrals enhances the leaf theme, while a contrasting background fabric brings the leaves to life. Play with color placement and movement for a mix of seasonal charm.
Sewing the quilt follows a clear step‐by‐step process that balances simple piecing for the leaf shapes with conventional block construction for the squares and diamonds.

As you join the units, the combination of leaf blocks and framed building blocks fall together to form the pattern of the tumbling leaves. Framed by diamond blocks to form windows to watch the leaves falling outside as the season turns. Swirly quilting with rises and falls create a windswept bluster.
There are two variations of the falling leaves quilt, however sold in two separate patterns. The second pattern being “Free Falling” with the difference in the diamond blocks.

Here the falling leaves appear to be falling and rustling in the wind around a paved walkway, a wonderful time to get outdoors and celebrate the beauty of Autumn hues and shades.
