Sweet Kissing Fishes A Fun Baby Quilt With Small Triangles.

A few small pieces of colorful fabric can be put together to make a sweet Kissing Fish baby quilt. Small half square triangles look like little fish kissing. Get out your happy fat quarters, this baby quilt is such fun. Not all of the blocks are the same and as your eye moves over the quilt, cute little kissing fishes emerge!

 

All those diamonds and triangles may look tricky, but they’re fast and easy to cut. A ton of scraps could be used up very quickly. It looks as though three half square triangles make up the body of the fish, and one for the tail, but there’s a larger pattern of  what could be the Ohio Star, and the feature could be stars, but kissing fish are much more fun!

Utilizing a variety of colors and the clean, geometric look of triangles the half square triangles are combined to make cute colorful fish. Different blocks put together back to back create an unending array of shapes with ‘kissing fish’ forming a fun border.

This Kissing Fish baby quilt is super fun, will make a fun and friendly throw for any age! Finsihed size for this pattern is around 50″ x 60″.
