If you love vintage prints, they’re just perfect for this quilt. The quilt shown below by Quilt Taffy truly showcases vinatges. Corrie and Des have managed to capture a powdery, dreamy almost romantic vintage. The Trip Around The World designed by Bonnie Hunter offers endless designs, shapes and color combinations. Playing around on the design wall has never been more fun.

Quilt Taffy adapted their pattern choosing magenta as the predominant color running through the quilt, enhancing the on point. It’s just beautiful, and not as difficult as it looks.

It’s not only the ‘diamonds’ that are so pretty with Quilt Taffy’s quilt, but the vintage fabric that is truly the essence of this piece. The beautiful backing in flannel makes the quilt extra cozy. The print for the backing is kind of a surprise, and mixed with a second print, perfect with the theme. It almost has an “Out Of Africa” feel.

Inspired by Bonnie’s ‘Trip Around The World’, Bonnie suggests twisting and turning the blocks as you go. The patterns start to show as you move the diagonals around.

12″ blocks offer longer diagonal chains through the center of the block creating an optical illusion. The choice of color is unlimited.

A perfect project for scraps. If you’re using Quilt Taffy’s plan to use a predominant color running throught he quilt, you will need 1 1/4 yards for the dominating color. From that you will need 48 x 10inch squares.
